He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name.  Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.

Big Meadows, Green Mountain - "Wherever We Go"

Green Mountain is now covered in burned trees from last year's forest fires.   The trail is covered in burnt debris.  I was fortunate enough to have walked the trail and took many pictures.  It will be many years, decades for the mountain and forest to recover and have new growth.

"The Lord is my light and my salvation -- whom shall, I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life -- of whom shall I be afraid?"

Psalm 27:1 NIV

Rocky Mountains, Colorado - We Fix our Gaze on Things that cannot be Seen

While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen,.  For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Horse Shoe Park, Rocky Mountains - “Where does Wisdom come from?”

Where does wisdom come from?  Where does understanding dwell?  It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing, concealed even from the birds of the air.  Destruction and Death say, ‘Only a rumor of it has reached our ears.’  God understands the way to it and he alone knows where it dwells, for he views the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens.  When he established the force of the wind and measured out the waters, when he made a decreed for the rain and a path for the thunderstorm, then he looked at wisdom and appraised it; he confirmed it and tested it.  And he said to man, The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.
Job 28:20-28

Old Falls River Road - “I Am What I Am”

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance that Christ died for our sins according to Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve.  After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.  Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.

For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.  But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect.  No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but he grace of God that was with me.  Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we peach, and this is what you believe.

1 Corinthians 15:3-11

Estes Park - “All the Ends of the Earth will Remember”

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the LORD and he rules over the nations.

All the rich of the earth will feast and worship, all who go down to the dust will kneel before him—those.who cannot keep themselves alive.  Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the LORD.  They will proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn—for he has done it.

Psalm 22:27-31

Rocky Mountains National Park - "The LORD of All"

Then Peter began to speak:  "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right.  You know the message Giod sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is LORD of all.  You know what has happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached--how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointment as judge of the living and the dead.  All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.

ACTS 10:34-38,42

Rocky Mountains- “Delivered from the Mouth of the Lion”

At my first defense, no one stood with me, but everyone deserted me.  May it not be charged against them.  But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message would be fully proclaimed, and all the Gentiles would hear it.  So I was delivered from the mouth of the lion.  And the Lord will rescue me from every evil action and bring me safety into his heavenly kingdom.  To Him be the glory forever and ever.  Amen

Rocky Mountains - “For By Him All Things were Created”

The Preeminence of Christ

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.  For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things were created through him and for him.  And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.  And he is the head of the body, the church.  He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.  For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

Continental Divide - Broken Beauty

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Psalm 139:14 NIV

When my daughter died, I feel my heart has been broken into a thousand pieces.  God's promise is that Jesus can take our broken pieces and heal our brokenness and give us purpose.

Thought for today:  God can heal my brokenness and give me purpose.
