Milford Sound, New Zealand - “Heaven of Heavens cannot contain you”

And now I pray, O God of Israel, let Your word come true, which You have spoken to Your servant David my father.  But will God indeed dwell on the earth?  Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain you.  How much less this temple which I have built!

Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his duplication, O LORD my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You today:

That Your eyes may be open toward this temple night and day, toward the place of which You said, My name shall be there, that You may hear the prayer which Your servant makes toward this place.

1 Kings 8:26-29

Fort Matanzas Beach - Flower Vines

When Solomon had finished all these prayers and supplications to the LORD, he rose from before the altar of the LORD, where he had been kneeling with his hands spread out toward heaven.  He stood and blessed the whole assembly of Israel in a loud voice, saying:

"Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised.  Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.  May the LORD our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us or forsake us.  May he turn our hearts to him, to walk in obedience to him and keep the commands, decrees and laws he gave our ancestors

1 Kings 8:54-58 NIV

Fort Matanzas Beach:  Hurricane winds and waves washed away the sand dunes and destroyed the vegetation.  Nature is coming back; the flowers, shrubbery, vines, wildlife are thriving once again.
