Matanzas River - Breaking Light

Then your light will break forth like the dawn,

and your healing will quickly appear;

Then your righteousness will go before you,

and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard,

Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;

you will cry for help, and He will say:  Here am I.

Moultrie Creek - “The Wind Blows were It Wishes”

"The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell were it comes from and where it goes.  So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

Shores Waterfront Park - The Tire Swing

 The Tire Swing

An old tire hanging
From the big ash tree,
Was always swinging
With my friends and me.

With an old piece of rope,
We hung it high,
All in the hope,
We could touch the sky.

We swung on that swing,
From dawn to dusk,
To that tire we would cling,
With all our trust.

Swinging up high,
Into the air,
Straight up our feet would go,
Without a care.

The days we spent,
In the shade of that tree,
Swinging for the sky,
So happily.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Broken Things

 God uses broken things.  It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grains to give bread, broken bread to give strength.  Quote:  Vance Havner

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Out of the Deep Waters

Then the channels of the sea were seen.
The foundations of the world were uncovered,
At the rebuke of the Lord,
At the blast of the breath of His nostrils.
He sent from above, He took me,
He drew me out of many waters.
He reached down from on high and took hold of me;
He drew me out of deep waters.

2 Samuel 22:16-17

"I am with you always...'

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Matthew 28:19-20

Do Not Conformed to this World

 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God--what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Tire Swings and A Coastal 'May Day'

The first day of the month of May is known as May Day. Warmer weather begins and flowers and trees start to blossom.  As I walked along Shores Blvd, the tree swings and boats were idling quietly in the breeze.  I could find the energy coming from the warm weather.  The cold fronts of the North is lingering with snow falls in Colorado and in the mid-west, but in St. Augustine, winter is over and sunny days are here with mother nature's vibrant colors abound swirling around my head.

Sir Thomas Malory (died 14 March 1471)
Le Morte d'Arthur

"The month of May was come, when every lusty heart beginneth to blossom, and to bring forth fruit; for like as herbs and trees bring forth fruit and flourish in May, in likewise every lusty heart that is in any manner a lover, springeth and flourisheth in lusty deeds. For it giveth unto all lovers courage, that lusty month of May."
(Le Morte d'Arthur Book XVIII, ch. 25)
In 1469-70, a man named Thomas Malory (1405-1471) sat down to write a book about the adventures of King Arthur and his knights – a book that indirectly gave rise to works ranging from the novels of Sir Walter Scott and the poems of Alfred, Lord Tennyson to the Prince Valiant comics and Camelot musicals of the twentieth century.
