Little River Road, Smokey Mountains National Park - “A Spiritual Forest”

Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit.

JEREMIAH 17:7-8 (NRSV)

Little River Road, Smokey Mountains - “Speak through Me”

Just as the rain and the snow come down from the sky and don’t return there without watering the earth . . . so is my word that comes from my mouth; it does not return to me empty. Instead, it does what I want, and accomplishes what I intend.

ISAIAH 55:10-11 (CEB)

Little River - Smokey Mountains

So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he

neither ate bread nor drank water.  And He wrote on the

tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.

Little River Road - “Let the Rivers Clap their Hands”

Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.
Let the rivers clap their hands,
let the mountains sing together for joy;
Let them sing before the Lord,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples with equity.

PSALM 95:7-9 NIV

Rhythm of a flowing River

"But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
By Alfred Tennyson

I am renewed and refresh every time I visit the forest, mountains, rivers, and wildlife.  There is a rhythm of hope in every sound of nature. Nature's rhythm is music to my heart.
